Ровно 8 лет назад, 21 марта 2011 года, The Weeknd разместил в сети для бесплатного скачивания свою дебютную работу. Микстейп «House Of Balloons» мгновенно привлек внимание слушателей по всему миру и получил высокие оценки от музыкальных критиков. Работа оказала огромное влияние на жанр R'n'B, расширив его границы, и за эти годы стала по праву считаться его классикой.
К записи прикреплен оригинальный микстейп. Перед попаданием на сборник-компиляцию «Trilogy» композиции были пересведены, звук стал более "чистым", а часть сэмплов пропали, так как не удалось получить права на их использование.
